Take a Walk is a technique created by Jelena one morning after she did just that, took a walk and along the way gathered some good things. Take a walk with your creative self and surrender to its flow. Unless you already have things you want to use from previous walks and travels, when using this technique it helps to release any expectation and attachment to finding specific things, rather let the objects and materials find you. Trust that what you find, you will be able to use for this process. This is a great way to build trust with your own intuition and to bring your awareness into the now. Check out these 3 simple steps:

1. Take a walk and gather a bunch of creative tools, like nature objects and found materials. You might already have a collection of good things or visit your garden, a local park or the beach.

2. Sit with them for a bit, move them around, let yourself simply 'play' without too much thinking.

3. Transform your tools into something new. Or as Jelena likes to call this step: from this, to this!

TESTIMONIALS

"Just beautiful. I've some shells collected from my holidays here in Greece Jelena - might try my hand at something similar - thanks so much! Keep the inspirations coming, PLEEEEEASE!" - Poppy Lelekis

GATHERING TOOLS

Gather whatever takes your fancy, you might already have things you can use from previous travels and walks or take a walk outside and gather new things from shells, twigs, stones, leaves, pebbles, flower petals and feathers to found materials such as beach glass, bottle caps, string and ticket stubs.

I'M DONE! WHAT NOW?

Once you transform your tools into something new, you can take a photo of it as a keepsake of what you made. You could paste the photo in your journal or make a sketch of it. Then dismantle your tools ready for you to use again another day or return back to nature. If you want to make your piece more permanent, glue it on to mount board or frame it if you wish.
