Three Tawnies in the Flame Tree + journal prompts.

The joy, it’s big.

Like I literally hold my face in excitement every time I spot the resident Tawny Frogmouths in my garden.

These native birds love to sit on lower branches of mature trees, and are so masterful at camouflage they can be right there without being noticed.

Which is what happened last night before I took this pic. I stepped out onto my veranda after hearing their calls.

I was looking and looking.

And then, hello.

There they were directly in front of me.

The two young ones snuggled up next to one of their parents on the blossoming Illawarra Flame Tree.

Tawny Frogmouth animal wisdom reminds us of our interconnectedness with all life, and encourages us to be deliberate in our connection with nature. To strengthen this relationship in whatever way feels best to self. If outdoors you can touch the earth with your hands. Feel the ground beneath your feet. If indoors, you can walk barefoot. If they are around you, talk to your house plants and animal clan.

Remember too when you wash your face, the life-sustaining water from the tap is of nature.

Tawny wisdom also speaks of:

Positive breakthroughs; Are you resisting or allowing this momentum?
Healthy relations; Are you present in those that matter most to you?
Blessings from spirit/ the Universe/ Source/ Mama Creator; Are you recognising them?

If you feel called to, use these questions as prompts for your notebook or art journal.

Breathe in connection with your divine self.

Do you communicate freely and openly with your divine self?

The part of you that knows how you really feel and what you truly want.

The part of you that knows what you are thinking, and re-thinking and thinking about again.

The part of you that knows what you are focused on is what expands.

The part of you that is ever-visioning your best feeling self and life, and knows the way to guide you from wherever you are.

The part of you that is unconditional in its awareness of and love for you.

The part of you that sees plenty ‘out there’ to be angry, frustrated or in grief about, yet still leans toward grace and gratitude. Not to ignore it all but rather when situations and conditions are chaotic, calm clarity and inspired solutions are born + realised from within.

Breathe in from your centre.
Breathe out everything else.

A sacred spiral gathering of charred leaves and charcoal.

It took a moment for me to realise what it was.

Most any other day the curvy patterns along the shoreline are speckled with shells and seaweed or smooth stones, pumice and seagrass.

Over the weekend while on a walk along my local beach, the recognisable curves were there but made from charcoal and burnt leaves washed up from the not-so-far away fires.

Right now not only is there a mighty long drought happening here in Australia, there’s so many bushfires along the East Coast that some of those have joined up to create megafires (burning hundred of thousands of acres) that will take several weeks to put out – and some only when rain comes.

I didn’t feel to just keep on with my beach walk, like ‘there’s nothing to see here!’. So I started to pick up any whole leaves on my path. There were more leaves than I could carry.

When I reached the north end of the beach, I sat down on the sand with what I had picked up, and made a sacred spiral gathering…

From the burnt leaves with balancing stones and a seashell at its centre.

A visual prayer for steady rain for the people, creatures and land. An offering up to the rain gods and divine water-bearers.

The leaves a reminder to self of what we all know, that trees provide us with oxygen amongst other vital things. Like rain. Trees are essential for Mama Nature to make rain. The drinking water all living organisms and the land need for life-sustaining hydration.

May we take care of what takes care of us.

Mama Earth.

We are made of her.

Deepen the connection with being YOU + I made something for you.

Being me feels good to my being.

These are the words that surfaced when I drew the blue lady in my sketch book.

Which turned into my mantra for the week.

Turns out these words weren’t done yet.

They kept returning to my focus. And the more they did, the more I noticed how they were serving to deepen the connection with “being me”.

To acknowledge and appreciate when I felt that way as I went about my day.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

And to notice too, when I could sense I was facing the other direction. While remembering to be kind to self.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

What also surfaced for me was the infinite number of ways we can deepen this connection with “being self”.

One way is to be aware of what lights up for you and what lights you up.

You can do this by literally acknowledging aloud or quietly within, “I like that!”.

So that’s the thread I followed this week which birthed out as my latest offering to you.

A free printable poster to deepen the connection with being YOU.

It also comes with an inspired creative nudge using the printable.

Here’s how mine turned out…

Want the printable poster?

As a fun and creative way to deepen the connection with being you, I made a free printable poster for you. Pop your name in below and I’ll send you the high quality printable. A kundalini-awake womb-an.

A kundalini-awake womb-an.

An intuited soul sketch in my art journal during a soul expression session in my studio.

While I was painting this, Lola my fluffy assistant kept tapping her paws on the wet watercolour.

An apt move given this being reminds me of Kali, the blue Hindu goddess often depicted dancing with her tongue poking out wearing a necklace of heads and a skirt of arms.

She is considered the most powerful embodiment of pure Shakti, the divine feminine energy of the Universe.

A fierce mama goddess, divine protector, slayer of demons and destroyer of evil-forces. She also symbolises creativity, fertility and emancipation (being free from trouble-makers + what is troubling to the self).

There’s no messing with her vibe.

This sketch arrived with the words:

Source always knows where I am.
Source guides me where Source finds me.
Source guides me from where I am.
Being me feels good to my being.

Source being one word for God/ Universe/ Mama Creator. Do you have a name or word(s) that feels best to you to describe the life-force of all things in this ever-expanding cosmos?
